Primary Curriculum Students in the SIH Primary school are taught from a combination of the UK National Curriculum, and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). Both curricula are internationally recognised, popular curricula providing a high standard of knowledge, skills and understanding in English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Art, Music, P.E., ICT and International Studies.

Keystage 1
Year 1 and 2

Year 1 & 2 Students are taught English and Maths based on the UK National Curriculum – Key Stage 1. Milepost 1 of the IPC provides thematic based units, teaching Science, Geography, History, Technology, Art and International Studies. Music, ICT , Mandarin and P.E. are also studied. Lower Keystage 2
Year 3 and 4

Year 3 & 4 Students continue to transition through the UK National Curriculum, learning English and Maths based on Lower Key Stage 2. In IPC, they continue to learn Science, Geography, History, Technology, Art and International Studies through the thematic units of IPC Milepost 2. Upper Keystage 2
Year 5 and 6

Year 5 & 6 Students complete their primary instruction in English and Maths with the UK National Curriculum – Upper Key Stage 2. They move onto Milepost 3 of the IPC units, continuing their broad-based education in Science, Geography, History, Technology, Art and International Studies Music, ICT, Mandarin and P.E. continue to be studied. Thai in Primary

At SIH it is very important that students learn the Thai language. Despite being an International school whose medium of learning is English it is vital that students study Thai language and culture throughout their school years. The Thai curriculum is divided into four main strands: Reading, Writing, Speaking & Listening. At SIH we offer two different levels for Thai classes.
