curriculum
early years to Year 9

The Oxford International Curriculum (OIC) offers a comprehensive educational pathway for students aged 3 to 14, designed to build foundational skills and foster lifelong learning. It covers six core subjects: English, Maths, Science, Computing, Wellbeing and Global Skills Projects, promoting holistic development across academic and emotional wellbeing.

The curriculum is innovative and research-based, incorporating formative assessments and end-of-year evaluations for key stages. It is designed for international students, especially those with English as an additional language. OIC places a strong emphasis on developing critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and real-world skills, preparing students for future academic qualifications.

Wellbeing is integrated into all subjects, fostering a supportive learning environment where students can thrive academically and emotionally. The curriculum's project-based learning approach encourages students to engage in interdisciplinary work, nurturing their curiosity and self-development for the future.

Schools implementing the OIC have reported significant improvements in student confidence, decision-making, and empathy, alongside strong academic outcome

Platinum award

We have been awarded the ‘Quality Counts’ mark at Platinum level, the highest possible level by the National Day Nurseries Association, (NDNA).

SIH’s Early Years section has received international recognition for the quality of care it offers children. We are the first whole school with nursery in Thailand to gain the award and only the second Early Years/Nursery section. Quality Counts is a UK quality scheme designed to help a nursery explore all aspects of its care and education to ensure that it is delivering the best possible service for young children. For the past 18 months SIH has been working towards the award, which acts as an indicator to parents of the high-quality care that is offered.  To read out inspection report please click the link below:
