House System at SIH

Southern International School Hatyai has a teamwork and motivation system, which is based on Houses. One of the main strengths of the House system is giving students of all ages the opportunity to work together, creating a truly cohesive environment and ensuring that age is not a barrier to friendship and collaboration. Of course it is not only students who are allocated a House, staff are also involved. The house system at SIH is a great way to help students feel a sense of belonging within the wider school community. It provide opportunities for students to develop various skills, such as social, physical and intellectual and creates a real sense of community throughout the school.

Our Houses

The school currently has 3 houses these are:

Mars - Red

Neptune - Blue

Venus - Green

Every student is placed in a house when they enrol in the school and will remain in the same house throughout their time in school. Siblings will be placed in the same house.

Throughout the year we hold events whereby all year groups can work as a team or individually to gain points for thier house. Example events that we run at SIH are photograhy competitions, spelling bees, sporting events, talent shows, science fairs and much much more.

At the end of the year the winning house will be awarded the trophy for House winners and retain the title for a whole year. It is a great way to develop friendships, create a sense of community and have some fun and friendly competition along the way.
