We believe that our distinctive uniform plays a valuable role in contributing to the ethos and tone of the school. It helps to encourage in our students, a sense of community spirit, personal pride and a common purpose, while also reinforcing positive behaviour.
All students are expected to wear the correct uniform at all times and to respect other aspects of our dress code. We actively encourage parents to reinforce standards of dress and to ensure that students’ uniform is consistent with school policy.  The School Uniform and Dress Code makes an important contribution to creating a positive and
purposeful school ethos. Students are expected to be neat and well-groomed and in a manner consistent with our school environment.  All of the SIH uniform can be purchased from the school with the exception of items of footwear.  At SIH we ask that students wear socks (white in the primary school) with plain black shoes and during PE, training shoes should be worn.  Hair should be neat and tidy and clear of both the face and shoulders. Long hair should be neatly tied back.
