Year 5 students have recently been learning all about the International Space Station as part of thei IPC topic. This week, they designed their own Space Stations for humans to live on if Earth becomes uninhabitable. The children had to think about a number of design and engineering factors such as: generating a food supply, finding sustainable energy sources, supplying oxygen and living in zero-gravity conditions.
