In IPC, Year 5 and 6 have been learning about the crucial importance of water. Water is essential for all life on earth and humans use it in a variety of ways: drinking, cooking, feeding animals, cleaning, farming and many more. Many of us have access to clean water from our taps, but there are many less fortunate than ourselves who must travel long distances to get water for their families. Year 5 and 6 students re-enacted the long journey that many people around the world must take to get water. This was a great way for the students to learn about the hardships that millions of people face every day. Alhough it was a fun activity, it had a very important focus, to show the harsh reality of water scarcity in less fortunate parts of the world. Year 5 and 6 will continue to learn about the importance of water until the end of this half term.
