Year 3 studied volcano vocabulary and their definitions to aid their volcano project. Each group chose a volcano - Mt. Fuji, Mt. Vesuvius, Mt. St Helens and Krakatoa - and built and painted their volcano replicated on their chosen volcano. Afterwards they took part in a science experiment to erupt their volcano, which they were then questioned about what would be happening during a real volcano eruption, using their now known vocabulary to aid their knowledge, such as magma chamber, vent and crater. Good job Year 3!
