SIH’s Early Years section announces that it has received international recognition for the quality of care it offers children. We have been awarded National Day Nurseries Association’s ‘Quality Counts’ award at Platinum level, the highest possible. We are the first whole school with nursery in Thailand to gain the award and only the second Early Years/Nursery section. Quality Counts is a UK quality scheme designed to help a nursery explore all aspects of its care and education to ensure that it is delivering the best possible service for young children. For the past 18 months SIH has been working towards the award, which acts as an indicator to parents of the high quality care that is offered.
Mr. Martin, the headteacher said, “Together with our ISQM accreditation, this award shows the quality of the international education we offer that is unparalleled in the region. We take fantastic care of our children from the time they can walk to when they become young adults.”
Ms. Ali, our Early Years leader said, “We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded Quality Counts award at Platinum level. This is a special achievement and reaching this point is a culmination of much hard work from the Early Years team. I would like to thank everyone who has supported us during our journey.”
Purnima Tanuku, Chief Executive of National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) adds: “Achieving Quality Counts involves a great deal of hard work and development, and illustrates a nursery’s absolute commitment to children. The Early Years section should be very proud of this achievement as the Quality Counts scheme demonstrates that children are at the heart of what they do.”
